Ebauchonsm(first quality) vs. Plateaux(extra quality)
I am just about ready to try my hand at making a couple pipes, and will be ordering some briar shortly. Does anyone know about the differences between these two types? Does the plateaux provide a better smoke for some reason? Is it just an aesthetic thing like better grain? Is one easier to work with that the other?
Furthermore, do any companies tell you which one they use, and is there some way to tell? Thank you in advance. |
