the.. smell.

haha, creepy title intended.

seriously, I just bought some new pipes from pipesandcigars and they threw in an extra bag of tobacco..

good lord, I took one sniff.. heaven!

tobacco was a foreign smell to me initially, but I've grown to love it, the spicy perique, the wonderful virginia, the nutty burley.. all of it.

Here's to the *smell* of the tobacco! and all the joy it brings to me, and to countless others

Re: the.. smell.

Funny story on the smell.....

I fly fish all the time. Most mornings the water will have a very heavy fog on it. I fire up my pipe while smoking and almost every time overhear or have someone approach me and say how good that smelled. In fact a few times while I have been letting the water rest, I will have a stranger ask if he can sit down and join me for a smoke.

Its funny how far the smell rolls and its affect on people.

Funny when one smokes 1792, most folks who smell it ask, "What the heck is that stuff?"

You'll enjoy it more if you call it "aroma."

Re: the.. smell.

I love the way the "aroma" sneaks up on people and pulls them in. It's always a head turner. I've had some interesting conversations with complete strangers that were started from the "aroma".

Re: the.. smell.

Riding the motorcycle 70mph down I-95 I can pick up a whiff of pipe or cigar a mile away.

To the smell.

Re: the.. smell.

My roommates for some reason don't like the smell. Well of my pipe box, I haven't had there opinion on the smoked tobacco.
