^This! Taking up the pipe really put cigar buying in perspective for me. I have been saving a small fortune. You can honestly spend as much or as little as you want on this hobby. It's wonderful.

I started in august with a cob, tool, and cleaners, and did a double sized n00b sampler with rjpuffs. That was less than $30. I decided I liked it, and got an estate pipe off ebay, which was another $30 or so with cleaning supplies and shipping, and $30 on tins, that are still more than half full. I typically smoke a bowl every evening.

Of course, then my girlfriend got me a new Peterson for my birthday, which I have dedicated to VAs and VApers and moved the estate Stanwell to Englishes (if that's a word), and I just ordered 2 more tins of tobacco for about $25 (one was a 100g).

The one thing you have to resist, is the urge to try everything all at once. You're not going to be able to even appreciate them all for what they are right away, until you develop your technique a little and your pipe tobacco pallette.

"Bomb" means getting a large selection of baccy, and/or pipes, and/or tooling, or stuff that's pipe smoking related and sending to a person. Or it could be a smaller selection of hard to find baccy, or possibly discontinued baccy.
