Sweet purchase today

I bought some stuff today, and I am excited.

1 briar pipe
1 tin of Frog Morton
1 tin of MacBaren's Plumcake

I absolutely loved the Frog Morton. My new favorite tobacco, yummy. Plumcake was too wet, and I was scared of getting tongue-bite.

The key to MacBaren tobacco's is to let them dry out at least 30 minutes before you smoke it... give it a shot.

I have the tin open right now to dry out. It is smelling up the house though, so I won't leave it out tonight. I am excited to give it a good try.

Actually, with all MacBitten I prefer to leave the tin closed back up (after popping) for AT LEAST a week, or more, it seems to take the edge off. Then suitable drying as needed PER BOWLFUL dumped on a desktop, no point in drying out the whole tin at the get-go.

I can tell it has some bite to it. I smoked it real slow and careful, but it was ready to bite at any second, haha. I used a briar with a filter, which may have helped. I read some reviews of guys using a filter which helped.

Dry it more for the next bowl. And try a "slightly" looser fill - you can always tighten up during the smoke with a tamp/jab if its too loose. A loose fill means less puffing required, of course too loose would also mean overheating, but, you get the drift.
