Where to find zippo new zippo fuel?

I've looked at various x-marts and drugstores but I can't find the new odorless zippo fuel in the black can. I've seen it online, but I can't find it in any store. Where do you buy it?

Personally, the cheaper Ronsol fuel (yellow bottle) works the same for me, I get no odor in either brand. The local 7-11 has them cheap around here.

They sell it in 7-11s, gas stations, corner news/smoke shops around here. AND it is cheaper by $.25 per bottle then the ronsonol.

Zippo man here. I find it at almost any drugstore, Target, etc. If you visit Lizard Lick you'll also find a can in the side pocket of my vehicles - I keep my inventory mobile.

These Ronsonol guys... Hey, ya gotta love 'em. They love the smell of Ronsonol in the morning. There's one now!

Can you use the new Zippo fuel in an old Zippo lighter? Thanks!

John

edit: Ok, dumb question - I just found the info on the new Zippo Blu lighter and the old one's won't work with butane.

Absolutely! That is one nice thing about Zippos is that they haven't changed in the 75+ years that they've been around. Other than the outer cases, only the flint wheel has had a minor change made to it.

Ok, now I think I know what's going on. You all are talking about the Zippo fluid in a black can. I, obviously, was unaware that this stuff was available. I'll get some this weekend.

What's the best way to clean your old Zippo (made in 1961) of the old Ronson fluid before putting in the new Zippo fluid? Thanks!

John

I would just remove the flint screw/spring and take off your felt pad. Then remove the rayon balls inside with a tweezers and set these aside somewhere they can dry out. If these are in crummy condition, you can just replace them with cotton balls. You may also want to check the condition of your wick whilst doing this, if is very short from repetitive trimmings or if it is in bad condition in general, Zippo sells new wicks. Once all of the absorbent rayon balls are out I would just let the whole apparatus just air dry out any remaining old fuel. If there is some residue from your previous fuel on the inside of the insert, then you can actually use a cotton swab with some new Zippo fluid on it as a cleaner. It is actually a very cleaning solvent, as are most flammable liquids.
