Christmas Cheer containers for cellaring...

So last Christmas i got some Xmas Cheer 08, popped the tin, took half with me to school and left the remainder of the tin at home (in hopes to age). Will there be any aging going on in that opened tin? I know it would have been better in a jar, but let me know that all is not lost

Some aging will happen, but more importantly I find CC needs 6 months on the shelf after the tin has been open, improves greatly...just my tu'pence

In my experience, tins opened for that long means dry tobacco. You can rehydrate it with a damp towel stretched over a cereal bowl full of it, though.

I'd say to jar it after opening, especially if you want to let it rest for a year or more. Not worth the chance to let it dry out too much. I would think 6 months or less, it should be OK in the original tin, provided the top fits well. A couple of layers of plastic food wrap over the top of the tin and then the plastic lid will be even better.
