Is that the correct stem for that pipe? It looks like some kind of Frankenstein that someone put together.

Looks like a frankenstem to me. At first I thought it was just the wrong stem for that pipe, but looking at it, I really can't tell what the heck kind of pipe it would be appropriate on.

My guess would be that it is correct. I am guessing by the name (Chinrester) that the bend in it rests against your chin while you are holding it with your teeth. Looks like a pretty cool concept to me.

Of course you must take this with a grain of salt since I am a complete noob to pipes!

Well I am embarrassed, the word Chinrester did not register at all in my head until I said it out loud. Hah. With that in mind I can see that it could be correct, and how it would rest on your chin.
