Against my better judgment I ordered 2 Stonehaven "samples" from 4noggins,(2 was all they would allow), and samples they are. They came in ziplock baggies with "Stonehaven 2 oz." written in felt pen. At this price, ($8.69 per), they are selling an 8 oz. package for $34.76. I really wanted to try this but somehow after getting it I feel, how can I say this nicely, violated. I think I'll go take a long shower and burn my clothes ....

No worse than buying a cigar really... You still get more smokes out of a sample than a cigar. I still wanna try this stuff as well.

Gentlemen,

Please let me clarify the selling of Stonehaven on eBay.

I am selling these for customer of mine on a consignment basis. They are not mine and he wants to sell them on eBay since he feels that bidding is the best way to maximize his profits. I also have another 2 customers who have tins of Dunhill that I sell as well. they are not mine, not on my site, and I receive a commission for selling them.

Please do think that I'm trying to rip anyone off. I bought 75 bags of Penzance and 75 bags of Stonehaven about two weeks ago and listed them on my website. They were both sold out within 24 hours. I am trying to get more, but as of now, there is none.

As far as the 2oz portions are concerned. I seem to have a tremendous amount of pipers who don't want to spend $25.00 but would love to try Stonehaven, so I broke up a bunch of bags into 2oz portions. Is that so wrong??

By the way, I will have all of the Samuel Gawith bulk and tins back in stock by the end of next week. It's been a long time coming.

I personally have no problem with the samples. One would expect to pay more, percentage-wise for a smaller amount; it's always that way. And, your explanation of consignment explains the other. I apologize for jumping to conclusions. In my defense, it's pretty much the only way I can jump with my legs...

Didn't mean to say the 2oz samples were a bad thing, I personally think it's a great idea. What I meant was I didn't want to post it on here because someone else might buy it all. Thanks for the reply Rich, it's nice to see you guys care about your customers, I personally have only had good experiences in dealing with 4noggins.

I want to apologize for my earlier post in this thread. It was over the top and totally uncalled for. It was a rotten day at work and I was in a terrible mood, none of which excuses my comments. Rich is an honest man, treats his customers well, and I will continue to do business with him as I hope others will. Again, my apologies.
