First Bowl

It was a cool, dreary, rainy day in Minnesota.

The porch door slammed. I looked out and found a couple of Priority Mail boxes.

The first contained a Savinelli estate pipe off Ebay. The second contained some pipe tobacco samplers I solicited from a BOTL in kind of a blind trade.

Amidst the tobacco samples was a ball of bubble wrap. On further inspection the bubble wrap tuned out to contain a Pipe. The sun didn't shine but my day brightened.

I set out some tobacco and proceeded to work on cleaning up the Savinelli.

The work being done, I checked out the gifted pipe. Where did I put that magnifying glass? Those eyes just ain't what they used to be.

That pipe was begging me to smoke it so I packed a bowl. After multiple lights and several tampings I began to enjoy the smoke. It still required to be lit several times. I need to acquire some skills.

I still found it to be a very enjoyable smoke.

Nice coloring on the chacom .

I just managed to smoke a bowl of flake with only having to re-light it once. After trying the roll-and-stuff and cut-to-cubes method the rub-and-let-dry-for-a-while method seems to be a winner.
