...some tobacco you forgot you had? And then asked yourself why you bought it in the first place?

A long time ago I bought a one oz sample of Mac Baren Virginia Flake. I remember thinking that it was a decent VA without an overabundance of flavor but certainly ok and certainly not something I'd spend much time fretting over being without. So yesterday I find a pound of it in my cellar. WTF? I honestly can't recall why I bought it. Maybe I was planning on aging it (if so, I'm doing well, as it's already almost a year old). Is this one of the trials and tribulations of the collector?

At any rate, I'm not complaining!

If this is an issue, I am sure I can help you "dispose" of that stow away!

I have had this happen but over the last few years I have become better organized. I built a cellar for my tobacco and a cabinet for my pipes. When I take something out or put something in I change my inventory record. I have been pretty good at keeping it up to date.

Bah. Inventory?!? That sounds like work! I have enough of that already.

Heh, I like the fun of forgetting what you have and then being surprised when you find it again.

Yeah, finding a pound of something I didn't know I had sounds a like a lot more fun than keeping charts with circles and arrows...
