Cornell & Diehl bulk blending tobacco

Do any of you have any experience with purchasing bulk leaf for blending form Cornell & Diehl? I've been to their website and see they offer a small range.

I'm guessing that they're offering as bulk the same varietals they use in their own blends. However, I have to wonder if they're holding back some because they want to protect their own blends. As an example, maybe they don't offer some of the more exotic Orientals because they lend a certain taste to their proprietary blends.

I'd really like to learn more about the art of blending as well as finding resources for tobacco. There doesn't seem to be too much available on the internets. Maybe that's a good thing as it forces those of us who want to give it a shot to learn by trial and error.

Any feedback about blending experiences, suppliers, etc. would be welcomed.

I would give Craig from C&D a call, most of the time he answers the phone himself. Talk to him about it, I've found him to be very friendly and helpful in my conversations with him.
