I got a problem!!

Guys whats wrong with me?
For the last 18 months or so i have aquired 8 pipes ,nothing wrong there you say,but the thing is i seem to be sticking with the same brand all the time which are Petes!
I know there are equal and better pipes out there,but i seem to have this mentality of "im not breaking my pretty selection of petersons up by another brand name"
Many a time ive come to buy a pretty stanwell or the likes, to at the last minute break out in a sweat and have this overwhelming feeling of betraying the little pete collection !!!
Do i need counselling

If it were me, to remedy the situation, I would start small collection of other brands, and keep them out of view of each other so they don't get jealous.

I say you expand your collection. Get some competition going for your Petes. If you feel they always win then they'll always smoke better for you since their morale will be up. Besides, it's good to keep them on their toes having a little competition around :-)

I spoke to a very knowledgeable, very wise, been smoking pipes for over 40 years Pipe Smoker just 2 weeks ago and he said this to me...

"You understand that we are all quite simply people who choose to engage the highly addictive elements of our personalities & we let them live, we let them breathe, we let them grow legs and become something in our lives. We start off small and our addiction quickly takes it ALLLL the way. We are obsessive, compulsive and we create a dependence for those pipes. Quite simply, we are addicts"

Its my opinion that knowing is half the battle.
I cant tell you how many hours, especially at night, that I spend looking at pipe shapes all over the net. I am shaking my head as I write this but at the same time, I would rather be addicted to this than some other stuff so....

It is what it is.

For the heck of it, BUY SOMETHING ELSE. Live through your bodies convulsion and intense foaming salivation as you actually go through the process and hand your money over for some other pipe brand. I promise you, you will survive.
