first i asked Charlie and he told me to watch some videos on youtube. There are 3 or 4 guys on there that are very knowledgable on the subject. basically......

#1. Ream if necessary
#2. salt treatment of the bowl
#3. soak the stems in clorox for a few hrs (after you coat the metal and lettering with vaseline)
#4. rinse stems then soak in rubbing alcohol for a few hrs....then scrub the hell out of em
#5. sand stems with a scotchbrite pad then polish with tripoli and white rouge compounds
#6. knock the salt out of the bowl and finish cleaning it....then wax the bowl with carnuba wax
