Pipe gift idea

I usually stick to the cigar forum, but also have a collection of 6 pipes and keep a rotation of about 10 blends.

I am looking for a pipe that can be gifted to me from my wife for Christmas and to celebrate the upcoming birth of our first child. Here is the criteria:

Handmade in the year 2009
I'm not a fan of weird stem materials, antler, bamboo, etc.
Average size, nothing too big or too small.
All shapes, textures, and colors are fine.
$100 or less. I don't need to buy a pipe that has a high price for a reason I don't care about or understand. But will pay for things I like.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I might be going to the Monjure showcase at Faders in Baltimore this weekend, if anyone has any info on that.

I am new, so I do not know all the ins-and-outs perse, but I would imagine that the 2 criteria I quoted, while definately doable, limit you somewhat. However, I do believe you could get a JM Boswell that would fit the criteria you listed. They come with great praise, are economical pipes, and are handmade.

Yea, some of those look pretty nice. Most pipes posted on their page appear to be sold, but that is a good starting point for price and style.

Mark Tinsky posted his selection of Christmas pipes just a week or two ago. I believe he has four different finishes to choose from. He's got a loyal following due to his reputation as a crafter so they may go fast.

I second Boswell. He may even be willing to inscribe something like baby's first year in it as well.

I already called them and will be tarveling north (but not very far) in the next few weeks to pick one up, they look awesome and for a great price. Thanks for the help.
