In the nick of time Stanwell

I came in to eat lunch and remembered i was watching stuff on ebay. I literally got my bid in with seconds to spare. $10 and $5 shipping!! I was happy......in a way not cause this ended my 2 week no buying spree.

Re: In the nick of time Stanwell

Yea, I saw that one as well, looks like a neat pipe with a little clean-up. I held off, as I'm going after another Stanwell today.

Nice job!

Re: In the nick of time Stanwell

I started using a sniping service awhile back called Gixen. It allows me to be more disciplined in my bidding and if there is bad weather (I have sat internet) I don't have to worry about missing the end of the auction. I use their free service but for $6 (I think) per year they use a mirror service which basically uses 2 different sites to bid for you at the same time which virtually guarentees the bid to go through.

(Bad weather now, have to wait for it to clear before I send this reply )

Yeah, that's an interesting looking pipe...sort of a short Canadian or something. A Quebecian?

Re: In the nick of time Stanwell

recieved this pipe today. It was perfectly cleaned and ready to smoke (which i did) all it needs is to be buffed with carnuba. Smokes great. Its a bigger bowl than it appears in the picture. Glad i snagged it.
