Best Bowl Ever!!!

I broke in a new pipe tonight. It was a Stanwell Zebrano 217. It is replacing the 126 I got that was a lemon. It brned through on the second bowl I think there was a crack or something. THe new pipe looks like this, but with a Zebra Wood Insert.



I smoked a bowl of GL Pease Samarra from 2001. The tin has been openned for a month or so now, and I guess it needed to dry or air out slightly. This was probably the best bowl I can ever remember smoking!!! I just sat out on the back porch with a glass of Raspberry Iced Tea. The smoke was just phenominal. The pipe transmitted no heat to my hand what so ever thanks to the thick walls. It smoked cool right down to the bottom of the bowl. The flavor was Latakia with a hint of sweetness.

I think I will dedicate this pipe to this tobacco. I may have to pick up a couple more tins this week though!!!

This was a stressfull day. It started with a visit to the Chiropractor, followed by a visit to the Physical Therapist, painting the front steps, getting ready for a Yard Sale tomorrow. It was just a crazy day, but this put a nce end to it.

Funny, I posted a lot more when I was working

I have been making some progress, but it has been slow. I am strying to do little things around the house to get it ready to sell. Hopefully we will get rid of a lot of clutter tomorrow and be that much closer to getting it on the market.

Great looking pipe. That's another type I've been eyeballing. Glad you're enjoying it. And any tobacco by GLP is quality stuff.

Its great when that match of Pipe and tobacco come together. I am new to pipes but have orderd several estate pipes similar to your pictue. I am a Big guy and I like the feel of the Thicker pipe in my hand. I have been a cigar smoker for years and some times you just get a great box of cigars and you want to saivor them for years.

Hope the back gets better.. Chiropractors and Yard work are not a good combination.

That's a very nice looking pipe. It's too bad your other Stanwell Zebrano didn't work out. I think this one looks alot nicer though (I'm a sucker for the smooth finish).
