a bit off the path
This past weekend i was feeling a bit adventuresome and wanted to try something different. I settled on a package of Mammoth Cave rope chewing tobacco for $1.89 at the supermarket. I realize I was taking a change with chewing tobac but the first smoked ropes were chewing tobac stuffed in a pipe and after reading on how powerful ropes can be when smoked I really wanted to try one. Plus this way I didn’t have to pay rope pipe tobacco prices. The rope its self was kind of rough looking and smelled of slightly sweet tobacco but enough to say sweetened. It cut nice with a old cigar cutter into ribbons which dried well enough to smoke within a couple of hours. Taste, I think, was what I feared the most out of this and I was quite surprised when ass didn’t jump in the bowl and smolder, this stuff wasn’t bad. It was pretty simple behind the aromatic ghost in the bowl, very nice and mellow till Mike Tyson jumped my ass 20 puffs into the bowl. This is a nicotine head spinning gut bomb you do not dare to finish if you are sane. Well I’m sane and 20 mins was all I could take. I’ll save this stuff to try again when I’m feeling up to a round with Mike or blend with it to power up some stuff. The weird thing about all of this has been that every cigar I’ve had since this bowl has also tried to kick my butt and I’m not talking the usual powerhouses just normally tame stuff.

i might have to find me some "rope" and give it a twirl.
some of those samuel gawiths flakes can get me spinning as well, but i love the flavor.

Re: a bit off the path
I concur... most ropes can bring you to your knees, or at least make you comfortably oblivious.
Not my everyday sort of thing, but an intersting change of pace... esp after a brutal day.
