From IHT's post, I assume that GLP Fillmore is now available. That's kind of a surprise because Greg Pease had stated that it would not be available until late July or possibly August. I'll need to check that out now.

I tried the blend last year and it was awesome in the test phase.
Its nice to be friends with greg.
The new batch was a lot smother with the VA's tweeked a bit and I can't wait to get a tin or 10.

Please accept my apologies for the unscheduled intrusion, but I know many, many of you have been waiting on the edge of your seats for this blend from Greg, so I didn't want to hold it up!

G. L. Pease Fillmore Now in Stock!

Greg Pease's latest creation is now available and ready to ship. Fillmore is something of a departure for Greg, given the broken flake cut. Indeed, I know I'm not alone in having hounded him to make a Virginia/Perique flake and I can't begin to describe how excited I am about this!

Here's the tin description:

"A thick-slices broken flake in the Scottish tradition. Ripe red Virginia tobaccos are combined with a generous measure of fine Louisiana perique, and then pressed to marry the components and deepen the flavors. The cakes are sliced and gently broken before tinning. Fillmore presents an elegant sweetness and delightful piquancy, enhanced by a creamy richness that develops throughout the bowl. Sit back, and enjoy a lovely, leisurely smoke!"

Anybody care to offer up a review? The description on smokingpipes makes it sound delicious!

I got a nice sample baggie at the Richmond Show and have been smoking it little by little. My thoughts are that it is not like most VaPers out in the market now. It comes as a vary broken flake(my sample at least) brown to light brown in color. In the taste department what hits me is dry toast with a bit of perqiue giving a little pepper but not much sweetness. I can detect the hints of latakia playing with all of this. Overall this really doesn't push my buittons, then again this stuff is young and age might do it a world of good like Haddo's
