Ebay Bargain
Saw the on ebay a few days ago and didnt really look at the picture properly or read the description, just thought they would be good practice/sourece of vulcanite peices. anyway put in a bid of £3.99 (starting price) get on the computer this evening and find that i have won the auction, total cost £5.49 for four pipes, bargain. however on reading description i find that they are already resotred, and some unsmoked, so even better bargain!! now i just need some tobacco to smoke in them!

Nice score Bro...I would be interested to see if you could take the one you like the least and change the stain color...for me I like the Lighter Red yellow Stain some call it Sunset...Would you have to sand the old off or use some kind of stripper...Just wondering...
PS-Thats a Chemical Stripper not the dancer kind! Drrgill

I'm new to the pipe game as well, but you definitely got a good deal here! The Dr. Grabow is a sort of cheapie starter type brand I think, but a new one would have cost you at least £10! The Italian briars, however, look very interesting and good quality.
A definite steal! You have at least one yank jealous...  |

I should think that it wouldnt be too difficult to do, i have done it before on slightly lighter pipes and it has worked well, i have also taken a worn rough finish pipe and sanded it to make a smooth pipe, looks much better than it did before. I might try changing the colour of the pipe i like the least.
