Re: Tobacco recomendations?

If you've been smoking cigars try one of the many Havana blends. McConnell Pure Havana is one of the best of this type. Also you may like GLPease Barbary Coast. Try these or similar before you try Latakia blends because Latakia is an aquired taste and Virginia blends will give you tongue bite until you get used to pipe smoking.

Nice website!!! I am new to pipes but knowledge is always welcome here on CS. Now I know why you like the Expensive Dunhill. Your Investment statement is correct...I bougt a new airplane years ago flew it 3 years and sold it for what I paid for it. Just a matter of how much cash do you want tied up in your pipe collection...in your garage.. or in your Hanger.

Welcome to CS and the pipe Forum

Would also recommend Robert McConnell's Oriental as a light, cool and fragrant smoke.

It sort of introduced me to the English Blends and have gone on from there to include Squadron Leader and Early Morning Pipe.

Hi Drrgill, pleasure to meet you, I like your motto and agree with you life is too short for the cheap stuff. However briar is far more addictive than nicotine.
