I broke my pipe
My beautiful meerschaum. My favorite pipe. My little smoky darling is severely injured. I was finishing up cleaning her last night, and I was messing around with the stem when it snapped. I hope I can find a replacement. I'm taking her straightaway to my tobacconist for an emergency procedure. Please keep me and my pipe in your thoughts.

That sucks man, lucky it was the stem though. Hopefully you can get it fixed.

If the bowl wasn't damaged, it's an in office procedure.

I can't find anybody around that can do it in shop. They all want to send it off for a couple of weeks to have someone fix the pipe. It'll have to be fitted with a new stem, I suppose, but I've already parted with it once when I first bought it. I hate to do it again.

How bad is the break (pics?) maybe you could have a go at a self repair, i mean you probably havnt got much to lose in trying.

It's broken completely in two, right near the mouth. I'll post up some pics in the morning before I take it in to the shop.

Well, here's the carnage. This is not for the faint of heart, but take a look if you must. I'm fairly positive this will have to be a new stem. I just wish I could find a place to do it in-house, rather than sending it away for a few weeks.

Well, I just dropped it off at the local Tinder Box. They'll send it off to some guy who fixes pipes on the side. It'll be at least a few weeks. The upside is that the stem that broke was a bit too straight for the case, as it was a replacement that was put on there shortly after I bought the pipe, so maybe this one will be a better fit.

Hope the new stem turns out ok for you, i think it was the only option available there. I would like to say though that it is a stunning pipe, really beautiful, i can see why you were so heartbroken when it got damaged, would love to see pics of the new stem when you get the pipe back.
