capstan mild navy cut

mild is the word here, opening the tin there is a sweet tobacco and tea scent which is really nice. full of light and brown virginia, there are small specks of sugar on the flakes, proving the guy i got it from was right about age. still moist i had to let some dry out before lighting. once i got it lit i was treated to a lightly sweet and tangy tea and straight tobacco flavor. low in nicotene, it never got stronger or changed in flavor all the way down the bowl. i don't always like strong flavors or dominant tobaccos in a mixed blend, so this is good for when you want something very light and mellow toward the start of the day.

I am fairly new to pipe smoking and I have been smoking capstan mild for a while. I like it because it burns very well and I get no tongue bite. I really like it but would like to try other virginia tobaccos but I just don't know what other virginia's to try, do you have any recommendations.

I have only tried capstan mild (yellow tin) and Mc baren virginia flakes. The mc baren virginia flakes is a little sweeter than capstan for my taste. I like them both tough. These are the only two virginias i have ever smoked.

Anyway, if you know of any other virginia tobaccos that are good please let me know. thanks
