As a general rule, it's always good to jar up your tobacco to keep it in its best condition. I think CB has some PG added that would help it say moist in that original tin, but I'm still thinking it would lose a bit of its luster after awhile. I'd go with a jar!

Do I need to do anything special to the jars like clean them out really good or something? Before I store it.

My mother has two mason jars with lids. Neither have any oder from what was in there before (i don't know what was)..... So can i just wash these and the lids real well and use them?

Yep, just wash them out and they'll be fine. You might consider buying a new lid at the grocery. You can buy the lids by themselves for a few bucks and the seal will be fresh. Short of that, use what you've got.

I would definitely go with a new lid. You can't get the previous smell out of the plastic lid liner, no matter what you do, short of incineration.
