Got my pipes and tobacco on Thursday..Lit up yesterday and was pleasantly surprised..I loaded up with Borkum Riff Bourbon Whiskey and it was very tasty,,I don't know what took me so long to try pipe smoking again.. Very relaxing... I got a 5 pouch sampler of Borkum Riff and will be trying other tobaccos soon..

Good going c2000 hope u enjoy your new pipe. I have some tabacco but im waiting for a pipe to smoke it in. I use to smoke several years age but gave it up(got to hot) I didnt know what I was doing. But reading post here on CS I know how to cool it down for just do it right. So when I get that pipe ill be joining you in a lil pipe herf my friend Take care and keep it cool

The pipe group was just finishing up at the B & M yesterday when I went there to watch the game, and meet some BOTL. The smell was absolutely heavenly. I know this is just the stigma talking, but I would feel weird being 21 and smoking a pipe. It smells amazing though. One of these days I will give it a try. Congrats on your purchases.

Just made me remember what I guess was a bizarre dream - I was in a store looking at pipes, and in walked a guy and his son, both dressed in what looked like old fashioned English clothes - white vests and so forth. The son looked like he was about 15 and was smoking a huge pipe. The father also had a (more normal sized) pipe. Very odd!

i didn't realize there were other younger guys here on the forum. i'm 18 and enjoying it. don't worry about what other people think, cause deep down, they wish they had one too

C2000 i too have a pouch of the borkum riff bourbon. maybe its just cause we're new and don't have the pallet for non-aromatics, but i love the flavor of the stuff! also burns at a decently steady rate without lots of hot spots and relighting. looking forward to getting some of their other flavors as well to try.

Borkum Riff Bourbon was my first pipe tobacco, and I loved it! I'll always have a special place in my heart for it. You never forget your first.

My first tobacco was McClellands Anni blend, its not that i was a snob or anything, it was just what i had been sent. It is fantastic tobacco tho, not sure it is a good starter tho, needs careful packing and care to ensure a pleasurable smoke.
