Re: 2006 Secret Pipe Santa wishlists

update on my wishlist:

as for tobaccos i forgot to mention that i would love to try some new blends, currently just about everything i have had is either english or virginia so i would love to try some other tpyes such as burley, cavendish, perique blends.

oh and peter stokkebye bullseye is something i really want to try. i tend to quite like flake tobaccos if they are available as i like to smoke them either in full flake form or very coarsely rubbed out.

18 have signed up??? wow, i need to check the sign-up page again.

on topic: i'll have my wishlist up in a week or so.
----
so it's been a few days (and since i have the power to edit, i'll edit)

tobacco: (all Va/Pers or Va/Orientals or Va's of some sort)
Escudo Navy de Luxe - wouldn't mind a couple more tins
Penzance - can never have enough of it
GLP Fillmore - just wanting to try it is all
mcclellands Blackwoods Flake - so highly recommended
mcclellands dark star - another highly recommended MC VA
Rattrays Marlin Flake - another that would suite me based on previous likings.
Rattrays Red Raparee - just want to try it... VA/Oriental mix sounds good to me.
SG Full VA Flake - i like SG blends, this one is highly recommended.
SG Bracken Flake - hey, i need more tins.
Solani Virginia Flake - seen ppl talk about it, it's a Va/Per, and that seems to be what i'm grooving on lately.
esoterica dorchester - yep, yet another VaPer. really been grooving on those as of late. not so much on the heavy latakia blends, maybe due to the weather, i don't know.

Accessories:
pipe cleaners - can always use more
Corona lighter - i need a good pipe lighter. nothing fancy or too expensive like an old boy. the Nibo Old Boys are only about $20 or so, right? DON'T REALLY NEED THIS, but it would be a nice addition.
cleaning supplies - like something to polish the stems with.

really, i don't need ANY pipes, i'm serious. don't need a pipe. would like to get some tins that i already have in stock that i may have listed on here, that way i can cellar them for a while and build up a stock of some fav's.
could always use a tiny amount of carnuba wax, or some other type of wax/cloth type thing for my pipes.
pretty much some 'baccy, a decent pipe lighter or other accessories. i don't need much, that's for sure.

The cats could have a lot of fun with a bazillion pipe cleaners on Christmas morning. (Cats like pipecleaner thingies to play with.) There are never enough pipe cleaners.

Virginia/perique tobacco blends are nice.

A pipe pouch is always a good thing.

Re: 2006 Secret Pipe Santa wishlists

no real special wishes this year Santa. I have plenty of pipes!

tobacco wise; I might like any of the following:
  • more Bullseye Flake
  • anything with a few years age on it
  • 2005 Christmas Cheer

really anything would be very cool. whiskey and rum is always welcome, too!!

thank you Santa!!

Re: 2006 Secret Pipe Santa wishlists

Sorry for the late post. There is really nothing that I need, but I could use a pipe pouch. I'd also like to try some non aeromatics as I am still kind of new to pipes. Something simple, still trying to find that go to baccy.

Cool Re: 2006 Secret Pipe Santa wishlists

there are many ways to find out the type of tobaccos your "kid" likes. maybe he's one that has posted a link to his ONLINE CELLAR in the stickied topic??

Re: 2006 Secret Pipe Santa wishlists

Good idea Greg.

You could also look up all the threads created when someone bought a new baccy and pipe. Look to see if your kid posted up, maybe they said they liked that baccy

Ya may have to be sneaky which comes natural for some of us.

Re: 2006 Secret Pipe Santa wishlists

I got a pm reminding me that I had forgotten to post here, so here goes:

I'm not much of an aromatic fan, but like pretty much everything else. I wouldn't mind trying some of the Christmas blends everyone has been talking about recently. Also, I'd love to try whatever it is that you think is good.

Happy holidays, everyone.

Re: 2006 Secret Pipe Santa wishlists

Here is my list. Sorry for the delay guys.
  • Tobaccos - I like most types of tobacco including mildly flavored aromatics and would like to try just about any of the tobacoos from Greg's wishlist.
  • Pipes - Could use a larger bowl, full bent pipe (don't mind reconditioned)
  • Lighter - Interested in a pipe lighter such as those reasonably priced Nibos

Re: 2006 Secret Pipe Santa wishlists

Santa-sorry I didn't get in on this one in time. I'm doing the cigar thing, but just got my pipes dusted off this week. Anyhow, if you get any slakers you can send one my way.

And I have been good this year
