Pipe Support Group

Hello, my name is Marianne and I am a reformed pipe smoker

Some of you know me from the cigar side of the jungle. Itis socold uphere I am thinking I might start smoking my pipe again-takes less time than a cigar

I smoked pipes backin the early 80's and I have a lovely collection. I need to order tobacco online and I have been looking at the Cornell and Deihl site. I am leaning towards a sampler, but don't know which way to lean. I would appreciate any suggestions. Nothing strongerthan medium bodied I would think. My memory isn't the best but I use to shop at a Tinder Box in Riverside and bought their blend called Treasure Chest-it was to die for. I can still smell it in my jar.

Another question-I always bought my tobac in bulk-loose, never in tins. Is the tin tobacco fresh?

Oh poor, poor Marianne. The bug has bit. There are so many ways you can go for pipe baccy. Most guys here have a mix of tinned and bulk. The C&D sampler is a good route. I am currently hooked on the McClellands stuff. Might get a tin of this years Christmas Cheer. Check out smokingpipes.com. Great prices and good shipping.

PM sent.

Does this mean a name change like CigpipeGal?

I just got 18 2oz samples from Cornell and Deihl and I'm happy so far.

I bought 2 of their 8 sample deals and with gorilla math, they thru in a couple more.

I just told them what I was looking for and the lady chose for me.

Re: Pipe Support Group

McClellands tobacco is great stuff, Christmas cheers is excellent as is anniversary blend, however i have found that Mc blends are very fussy about what pipes they are smoked in, i only have 1 pipe in which they smoke properly, in other pipes they smoke wet and sour so if you find one of your pipes that suits them keep it purely for them. Other great blends include Squadron Leader, Nightcap and Early Morning Pipe, and not forgetting Penzance.

I buy most of my tobacco from www.4noggins.com Tell rich that i sent you and he will look after you, he has an excellent range of tobaccos at fantastic prices, his shipping is very reasonable and quick, he is also a jolly nice chap who will help you as much as he can.

May i recommend you get a few tins of CC if you like it as it is limited edition each year.

if you need anything else shoot me a PM, its good to see you back with pipes Marianne!

Hi Marianne,

Excellent medium bodied English Blend. A hint of sweetness to start, settling down to a nice nutty flavor without the latakia being overpowering. One of my favorites (in case you couldn't tell). Cornell & Diehl blends some very nice tobacco as well, Star of the East is a good one from them. All of the G.L. Pease blends are worth a try, Caravan and Blackpoint being a couple of nice tobaccos. I think Picadilly is a lighter version of Blackpoint, smoke them both . Let me know if you want to try a specific blend, I'll see if I can't scrape together a little for you .

,
Bill
