St. James Woods
Just picked up a tin of this. Any words of wisdom to a newbie? Wanted to try some VaPer stuff and this was recommended on tobaccoreviews. Never smoked a flake before, so it looks like I'll finally have to rub one out.

Re: St. James Woods
I smoke a fair amount of McClelland flakes... many times, they are awfully wet upon opening the tin. It can be tough keeping them lit, but once the tin's been open for a couple of weeks, this improves. Just experiment with how much you rub it out... BTW, St. James is great if you smoke about 1/4 of the bowl and let the pipe rest for 12 hours or so, and finish it the next day.
Hope this helps.

Re: St. James Woods
Ah, the DGT (delayed gratification technique) I've heard about. We'll see how it works. I did pop the tin already, just to see what it was about and having read that it needs to be opened for awhile to hit its stride. Sounds like it will be a good smoke come spring. Don't think I'll hold out that long, though. Might even try it out tonight. - not very good with delayed gratification.
