When I called about the pipe being wrong they didn't answer that one, I had to call the local number. No biggie, just sayin'.

I've only used the 1-800 number once and they answered. However, after reading this string and a few others, it seems their customer service pertaining to internet orders is becoming inconsistant, namely a bad habit of not letting those who place an order for items not in stock know whats going on and word of that is getting around.

The ones I got were dry and smoked bitter. I was expecting great things from Sunza Bitches, for example. I wonder if I just got a bad batch, since I also got the wrong pipe in my order...maybe someone wasn't really paying attention when the order was filled or something?

After reading the positive comments here and elsewhere, I'm not sure what to make of this.

Thanks.
Spritz it with a little purified water that'll bring it back. I actually like my blends on the drier side so for me it's perfect soon as I get it but some folks like it a bit moist and you can always rehydrate pipe tobacco til it suits your tastes. Then of course there's always the possibility ya' just don't like the blend, I know how it is when ya' hear wonderful things about a blend, it's such a let down when it ain't what you expected but that's what's so great about pipe tobacco there are lotsa' varieties and the one that'll hit ya' is out there waitin'. For me it was Virginia Spice and Sunza Bitches but them two blends ain't gonna please everybody. In Russ O's stable alone there're lots to try (and I love just about every one of 'em)

For me it was Virginia Spice and Distinguished Penguin. I still wonder how it is a Scottish mixture called Distinguished Penguin ended up one of my favorites.

Yep that's a great one too (no idea what it's got to do with penguins). I like Scottish blends although I'm not entirely sure what makes 'em Scottish.
