perique question
Could someone explain to me how in one tobacco blend the flavor of the blend is "spiced up" by the addition of perique, but in another it's "cooled down" with the addition of perique?
I was reading the descriptions of Russ Oulette's Hearth and Home when the question struck me. Thanks. |

The Best examples from my limited expirence, would be to smoke some Fillmore then some Solani 633. Both have perique, but in one instance (Fillmore) the perique is somewhat spicy, but in a good way, like a spicy cigar.. on the other hand you have solani 633, which has less perique, and is a lighter, "cooler" blend that its straight VA counterparts. Give both of them a try, i feel they are excellent examples of what perique can do! -hyp |
