I've discovered Virginias!!!

As Kayak_Rat said try some Mc 5100. This stuff will be in my collection until they make it no longer


Greg (IHT) is spot on with Orlik Golden Sliced, this stuff is pure heaven to a VA lover.


Can't help but tell you to stock up on all the Mc Xmas Cheer you can find also (Cheer WHORE here) because if you like VAs you will love this stuff as well.

Because of IHT I've got Orlik Golden coming (if smokingpipes ever gets their sh*t together--they were out of something and held my order for a week without telling me...oh well, stuff happens) and I picked up some of the Gawaith Pure Flake or what ever it is.

I second the mention of the Cheer, that's very good stuff. I have Hal o' the Wynd waiting to be opened as well.

PS--I like McClelland Virginia Woods as well. I don't see people talking about it, and I'm just a dumb n00b, so what do I know, but I like it.

Is that Mc 5100 a bulk only, btw?

Shawn - I got the 5100 on my doorstep yesterday and tried it this morning. It was (is ) great!! I say "is" because I have had 3 bowls of it today...so far. And this is the first baccy that I've personally had where each subsequent bowl seems to build on the flavor/finish of the last one.

Thanks for the suggestions, all of you. This 5100 truly is a supremely enjoyable smoke and I may very well NEVER have tried it if I wasn't prodded in that direction. Matter of fact I am sure of it, the other "high-attention" tins would have kept me busy and I would have been none-the-wiser...which would have been a real shame.

Thats it am getting some now. Mac Baren Virginia No 1 is my first Straight Virginia and I like it. I have been looking for a tobacco to try the aging thing with. I think i will give McCellands 5100 a try and put some away for aging.

you GO smokehouse - and as I had been previously directed McC #24, and Xmas Cheers are also very good. Interesting subtleties between them

i bought 4 oz MacBaren Virginia No 1 about a month ago. I just started smoking a bowl or two a day I think this is ones sneaking up on me it might be my favorite . Its nice and sweet. i know i'll be ordering some more of this very soon.
