Cool ideas... I'd be in, but I'm kind sketchy on the own blend idea. However, I volunteer Greg's pipes to be used for the R&D/tasting of the new test blends

Hey guys, a custom forum blend is already in the works. One of the big American blenders is doing it for us. We've got a bunch of guys sampling blends, and I would have loved to include everyone, but you only get so much in a sample. There will be enough for everyone however, i'll let you all know once we get closer to completion.

im all for a cs pipe, although hopefully it will be reasonably priced. Itd be a good way to get some of the cigar smokers involved in pipes.

I'll give up MY secret blend to the forum rght now. Actually it's a vast number of "blends" which consists of......

your favorite non-aro tobac packed about 80% or the bowl. Remainder of the bowl filled with dusted Stonehaven kindling. I have found that everything thru the light tastes like Stonhaven and the rest of the bowl tastes like Baccy-X laced with Stonehaven.

Now, I guess we all have to agree to love Stonhaven first lol

This is just the initial sampling and the blend may change, so it may be a bit premature to discuss it at length now. It sounds good, though, and should have wide-spread appeal.

like carbonbased_al mentioned, this is already in the works, has been for a few months.
i'll be bold and just state that it's been kept under wraps because too many cooks in the kitchen ruin the stew (and a chance that NOTHING gets cooked), if you know what i mean.
there's also been a discussion of future blends, so if you're not a fan of the style/type that is first produced, maybe the next one will suit you better (either way, i'm gonna get a few tins whenever it is finalized).

so, uh... i think when the people who are heading this project behind the scenes are ready to announce any progress, they will.

i don't know if the ppl doing the work want to let the cat outta the bag and say what type of blend (haven't tasted any samples yet anyway), who's making it, what it'll be called, etc. that's up to them.
so, please, be giddy (like me) that this is even going forward and we'll have a ClubStogie pipe blend, keep the question bombardment to a low roar.

As long as it isn't an aromatic I will be buying at least two tins of it. Can't wait to see when this gets done. Thanks to the people involved making this happen, very cool guys.

Ah, I am claiming the Gorillas in the Mist as my intellectual property for my own blend!!!!!!!!! nah nah nah ;p
