Well it all started Friday when I took my buddy out pipe shopping. We stopped by a local Fader's Pipe store when he saw a Nording Churchwarden for sale.

Long story short he loved it so he took it home. We got home and herfed it up, he the CW me the Tsuge.

That CW looked so sweet that I just had to have one (been wanting a CW anyway). So I start looking around and found one, at a great price to boot.

i ordered one of those for a member on here a few years ago after he had a pipe stolen from his car (a meer churchwarden)... i dont' see him online much to ask him how well it smokes, but i'm sure it does its job.
they got that "nording" look, too.

I looked just yesterday for some reason I can't recall, and smokingpipes.com was out Stanwell HCAs, but I'm sure you can find one elsewere. They are great pipes for the money. 2 for 1 is hard to beat, and if you don't already have a churchwarder, they're very useful for "testing" those blends you thing might have a little bite.

I've had a one for over a year a love it. Unless you're just fond of the rusticated finish, go with a smooth. Of course I have no way of knowing what yours will look like, but mine is almost completely coverered with flame grain and a coat of carnauba really brought out the contrast.

Move him to the top of your list, I don't think you'll regret it.
