longer finish tobacco's
I have found some blends that i absolutely love. Most from my local shop just out of the jar's. Most of the blends though have a very "short finish" im a cigar smoker so thats the term that i've come to learn for cigars, i dont know if their is a diffrent term for pipes, but anyways, I'm looking for something that will stay with me. I'm not afraid to try stronger blends or anything that you guys may recommend. Either that or could you give me types of tobacco that will have a longer finish. Thanks

Re: longer finish tobacco's
Actually, quite a lot of the "classics" that are talked about a lot have long finishes... in particular, I had a bowl of Penzance yesterday that I was still tasting up until lunctime today, so ~20 hours of lingering. How's that for a long finish?

2020 tends to hang with a really citrusy note, Stonehaven with a dark, dark, dark caramel-bitter-chocolate-rum and MacBaren reminds me of over-ripe raisins. Starting with a cigar analogy I'm not sure that these particular flavors are something you wnat lingering...but give them a try anway. |

Balkans also tend to linger, try Compton's Macedonian or a good hearty English rich in orientals like the new GL Pease blend, Westminster.

But I have to wonder, as with everything else tobacco, how much each individual person's body chemistry, diet, locale, altitude, barometric pressue, monpole flux gradient readings and wind direction will affect which tobacco does what for YOU ![]() I'd be interested, nismo, if you find any of these to at the same as they did for others |

Off the top of my head, the following come to mind that have long lasting finishes, at least for me:
Squadron Leader - Samuel Gawith Balkan Sasieni - Sasieni 3 Noggins - Rattray My Own Blend 7000 Royal Jersey Perique - Germain & Son Odyssey - GL Pease Penzance - GL Pease Stonehaven - GL Pease Edgeworth Sliced And So To Bed - Esoterica London Mixture - Dunhill Nightcap - Dunhill Royal Yacht - Dunhill London Blend 1000 - Dan Tobacco Pelican - Butera These are what immediately come to mind! I wanna start a nice lil pipe smoke here and their and I've been reading a ton here and I'm still incredibly overwhelmed(much more so then when I was a 16 year ole stealing grandpa's cigars and reading bout em). Peace ![]()
