I must ask what are you using to get these great pics? Are you using someone elses pics or are you shooting these pics yourself?
Pelican, I make my living with a camera. The photo above was taken with a Canon 20D with the plastic fantastic Canon 50 f/1.8 lens mounted on it. That one was taken using natural light. The pics of the Uberti 1873 and Colt were taken with a three studio lights and reflectors.
My favorite handgun round is the .357 Magnum because it is a great general purpose round that can effectively used for both defense and hunting. Also, less expensive .38 rounds can be fired in many .357 Mag. revolvers, making target practice and plinking a lot less expensive.
My absolute favorite handgun caliber is the 41 magnum.. My uncle introduced me to this caliber in the mid 60's he carried the 41 mag as his duty weapon (retired Deputy Sheriff)
.45 ACP. Because I collect 1911s. :gn
For CCW and competition: 45acp for two reasons.
1) They don't make a .46
2) Because having shooting someone twice is just silly
For long guns:
.308 Win. As to why... See number two above.
22lr and 9mm. I like to shoot a lot.
44 mag for Dons reason no 2. You dont even have to be a good shot with it. If you hit something its going down!
.45,its the weight of it in my hand and the recoil.
22 LR for the 4 legged pests. Great all around working caliber, whether it's popping a squirrel out of the pecan tree or downing a trapped hog it always works.
45 ACP for the two legged ones. Great recoil vs power balance and I love the 1911. It's just about the only full size pistol that fits my lil hands
.357 and 40 cal.
Anything that gos bang!!
.45acp personal defense
.9 for target shooting
