Anybody else here like guns?

I love to collect and shoot firearms. Mostly military stuff, AR15, AK47, lots of Military Surplus Bolt action rifles, and several varmint rifles, 500 S&W, etc. Also do my own bullet casting and reloading. Just wondering if others here are into firearms, reloading, casting, etc.

Re: Anybody else here like guns?

There's quite a few on here. I remember going thru a CCW thread here just after I joined. Got a couple hunting rifles (love my 30-30), and a couple glocks (carry the 23). Haven't gotten into reloading yet, but it's something I'd like to check out when I have more time.

Re: Anybody else here like guns?

I have quite a few Military longarms from 1871-1960. Here in Afghanistan, we can send home antique (pre-1899) weapons and I have gotten quite a few. Here is one I picked up yesterday- an 1876 Imperial Russian Berdan II single-shot bolt-action rifle. Nice. This whole country is like one big gun show.

Re: Anybody else here like guns?

Do I like guns? Let me put it this way: I am a Patron member of the NRA (Life, then Endowment, then Patron). I am fortunate enough to live 40 minutes from the NRA headquarters in Fairfax, VA (I live in the People's Socialist Republic of Maryland). They have a state o' the art indoor range, and I can never get enough of the National Firearms Museum. If you're ever in the DC area, you have to check it out.

Re: Anybody else here like guns?

Heres a picture of the 500 S&W and my AR15 (custom build, traded the red dot sight for a handgun a while back, now has classic carry handle, I like the old look) My 03' Springfield looks just like yours. I need to take pictures of all my stuff.

You ever fired a 700 Grain bullet in yours yet? I have shot a few through mine. 2 or 3 is usually enough though. I cast most of my 500 S&W bullets though. My play rounds are all 450gr, I have some 330, 350, 450, 500, 520, 550, 600, 635, and 700gr bullets that I load regular though. Heres a picture (not my photo, it's from the website I got my 700gr bullets from) of the 700gr bullet for any who have not seen it.
