Interesting topic that I am sure will have a "spirited" discussion.
I am pro-second ammendment. As a Liberterian is sort of goes against my feelings, but I feel there should be certian restrictions/requirements with regard to owning firearms. I dont want to see my neighbor stockpiling 500 guns and ammunition without some sort of oversight. I also dont see the need for someone to own fully automatic weapons or large caliber guns like a 50mm. If someone wants to legally own a handgun or rifle for protection and/or hunting I have no problem.

I believe in guns and I believe in an eye for an eye. Shoot someone, you get shot too.

Just keep them locked up and away from kids. Remember kids are better at finding hidden keys than adults.

My favorite is the Larami Super Soaker.

It makes for great spontaneous wet tshirt contests.

I'm not into them but I support the right to own them as long as you meet the requirements.

Guns

I don't care much either for them. Big suprise huh? I do own a couple, but don't use them real often. I keepem high and locked up away from kids with ammo in different location.

I have always wondered , with all the technology we have, when a guy goes in gun store and buys ammo why can't there be some kind of encoding on bullets to link back to that person? A barcode maybe? Instead of regulating the gun why not regulate the ammo?

Just some thoughts.

Guns can be a fine example of precision engineering. And the firarm industry is responsible for many advances in manufacturing processes. The harm is not in the guns, the harm comes from user. I know that's just another way of saying "guns don't kill people, people kill people", but I've always thought that statement sounded just plain dumb.

Having been in heavy construction for as many years as I was, I also have an explosives licence, which I'm about to let expire because I have no use for it now. So which scares you more:

1) Ram with multiple firearms and lots of ammo at his disposal...

or

2) Ram with a licence to purchase and the experience to correctly use high explosives to achieve the most damage...

I personally love guns. I own several myself and believe it's a citizens duty to be educated in the SAFE and PROPER usage of them. I have concealed carry license and understand the responsibility that goes along with it. I also think some people have no business being anywhere NEAR a gun (take a look at some of the yahoos that come out to the range sometimes, and you'll know where I'm coming from).

This is a "hot button" issue to be sure, but so is smoking cigars!

I am down to one side arm, a Ruger 9mm which was my first. I had a small collection at one time but slowly sold them off. I live alone so it resides on my nightstand. I met all the requirements for a CWP but rarely carry it. I consider myself fortunate to never have been put in a situation that was necessary to draw it at any one - yet.

That's what you get for sneaking up through the high brush behind a guy with a bad heart, short temper, and an hair trigger shot gun....
