Handgun hunters
Just wondering if there are any handgun hunters here? If so, what calibers and what have you hunted?

Being in the military, I don't hunt as much as I like but I have shot a few good animals with my pistols.

I dont hunt animals with these....I protect myself from them! Get my meaning?

I actually stopped hunting a few years ago. I was having neck/shoulder problems so I couldnt shoot my bow anymore and I just gave it up. Been shooting bows since I was 10 and walked away from it. If I cant hunt with a bow I just dont want to hunt anymore. Guns bore me. Why take a mile long shot with a 270 when you can get 10 yards from a big buck? Same with turkey or coyotes. When you can fool a coyotes nose......youve become a hunter.

I've killed deer several times with everything from a .44 Special and .44 mag to a .45 Colt with +P cast bullet loads.

Also been fortunate to pop a few elk with my Smith M-29 .44 mag and a Freedom Arms M-83 in .454 Casull.
