This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.
We just learned yesterday about this on the Peter Boyles radio program.
Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because it is flying under the radar.

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:

..It is registered
.You are fingerprinted
.You supply</ B> a current Driver's License
.You supply your Social Security #
.You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing
.Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25
- Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.

.There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.

The Government would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

He suggests the best way to fight this is to tell all your friends about it and "spring into action".
Also he suggests we all join a pro-gun group like the Colorado Rifle Association, hunting associations, gun clubs and especially the NRA..

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

I wrote a whole lengthy rant on this but my puter screwed up and didnt post it so now im POed and not willing to retype it all. In short....i WILL not lose my guns! I voted for Obama cause I dont think being a POW is a qualification for being prez (im a VET and a Disabled Vet at that so i can say that). We shouldnt fear our government....our government should fear us!

This will never happen here in the USA! The federal, state and local agencies would have to spend to much time and money. I also think that many of us would put up one heck of a fight and they don't want to deal with that. I just went to the NRA convention here in Phoenix and it was a great show with lots of information such as this undercover bill. I don't want to get into it with anyone here but if we as a country would vote for the people that WILL protect our rights than maybe this wouldn't be happening.

These requirements are pretty much in affect here in California, other that the SSI number and the physical and mental evaluation. However Dept of Justice will look through your records for any mental issues or Court related issues. Personally I don't see any reason why firearms should not be registered along with a backround check and proper id. I worked in one of the highest in sales firearm stores in California for 10 years along with all the local gun shows. I have seen my share of strange and/or incompetent people who want to buy guns. I cherish our right to bear arms and do believe that the left can be very extreme at times. It is best to keep abreast of the news and issues and remember to vote.

You say some states but not all. I don't know about you but Big Brother already knows enough about me. He doesn't need to know everything about me. At last check this is still a Democracy and not a Socialist Nation! I just posted this to get the word out so that changes can be made during the next election. Unless our leader declares himself King before that happens. What happened to Bidens "I am a hunter too, so nothing will happen to our right to bear arms"? Yeah Right!

I believe Australia said the same thing. All were forced to "register". A year later ALL guns were confiscated and it was made a crime to own one.

dont say it can never happen....we have a rabid gun hating congress with a fillabuster proof majority now. and a rabid anti-gun administration including Obama, Clinton, Holder and Emanuel....and one of the secrets in the pork stimulus package was a deal with Winchester (who is now owned by the Japanese) to pay them to cut production of primers by half...and they did so...and now there is a world wide shortage of them which hit me really hard...ive had to stop almost all of my competition shooting and switch to hoarding mode myself.....we are in extremely dangerous times with a full on assault by the left against the 1st and 2nd ammendments....dont take this lying down...become active and support pro-gun orginizations such as the NRA and Gun Owners of America...and state and local clubs....just my 2cents

Right now, the new Administration is trying to please everyone and is publicly focusing on the main campaign pledges that got them into office. But you can bet your last $ on the fact that there is already a major plan in the works to do whatever they deem necessary to take legal gun ownership away.

They will never be enough taxes collected to please them, no matter what the product is.... Guns, tobacco, alcohol or whatever. They don't want the money, they want it to go away. And it will..... When we get fed-up with the hassle and stop fighting for it and let them take it away.

All I can say is that I just had to close a part time gun shop because I could not get ammo and gun parts to make sales and pay bills. Now thank god I started the gun shop part time and kept my full time job that I have been at for a long time but guess what its in the oil feild and its about dead also. So my wife that works her a** off in the LE feild and is a (30% Disabled Vet) will tell you she would be prould to have a (POW for a prez) instead of haveing a Socialist prez anyday! Dont tell me you voted for Obama and you like your guns because you helped take them away from all of US!!!!!!!!!!!!
