Re: The CS "Guns" Thread

I don't currently own a gun, but over the summer I am intending to apply for a shotgun license and to buy one, for clay pigeon shooting. I'll probably get an over under.

Re: The CS "Guns" Thread

I've got about 8 or so pistols and about the same amt of rifles/shotguns. My preferred carry/home def./IDPA gun is a Glock 23. Don't have no pics, and all my guns are named Betsy.

Re: The CS "Guns" Thread

I will have to go out to my Gun Safe for some pics but here is my list....

I also reload

22 pistol
Colt Python 357
S&W 9 mm
pellet
Mossberg 10 gauge everything else
mossberg 20 gauge dove gun
marlin 30/30
remington 788 in 7mm/08....my favorite
an assualt rifle of chinese make....sshhh
savage in 223
mini 30 in 223

I know I am forgetting one. I started loading for the 7mm/08 since bullets were hard to find and only came in 139 grains. I now reload in several other cartridges....never while smoking a cigar though...

Re: The CS "Guns" Thread

I collect older (1989 or older) Smith & Wesson revolvers.
I just fell in love with them after owning a couple and kept going.
Also, I have a family full of retired cops, that were on duty in the 70s through the 80s, so it's part of my family culture too.

I prefer blue, but I have one stainless .357 that I take on road trips.
If and when I get my CCW, I'll carry a little old all-steel .38.

I try to buy one of these old treasures a year. But, as I get more "INTO" it, and learn more about these, my desire for specific older items makes it harder and harder to acquire something I REALLY want at a price I can afford at this point in my life. But, if I had the money, I certainly know what I'm looking for.

Here are some things (extra points for you if you can name them from the pics) I've been lucky enough to lay my hands on over the last several years.

S&W K-38 Target Masterpiece. Minty fresh. I've shot it twice.

How do you like the USP Compact? It's a gun i've always wanted and my 21st is creepin up...would this be sufficient for a personal defense in my car?

Re: The CS "Guns" Thread

There is an old thread here that doesn't show up on searches http://www.clubstogie.com/vb/showthr...583#post340583
Has some great pics.

I am going to hold off on posting pics of my toys as I don't like publicizing what I have.

I guess alot of us don't have to worry about someone breaking in and stealing our cigars

Re: The CS "Guns" Thread

Here are my home protection guns. The top one hangs over my closet.

Top one is a Mossberg 590 (Arnold) loaded 2 00 buck reduced recoil followed by 1 oz slug reduced recoil. This one was my anniversary gift from my wife this year.

Bottom one is a Double Star AR-15 (black beauty) with a Aimpoint ML2 loaded with 60 grain Hornady TAP 60 grn.

Yes I let my wife name my guns.

You can see other gun threads here I have posted in them before. One of them has my summer and winter carry guns. Seeing that XD reminds me I need to go in and order a subcompact 40 as a new summer gun.

fullolead I really like the slick cylinder 38 you got there.

Re: The CS "Guns" Thread

I've never been able to get pump action shotguns, why not just use a semi-auto? Especially if you want to be able to fire quickly, Berretta Xtrema 2 can fire 12 in less than 2 seconds and be shot one handed thanks to low recoil.

Re: The CS "Guns" Thread

Here's mine. Had more handguns, but had to sell 'em off when hard times hit. This is the one on my nightstand, sporting grips I used to make fashioned out of Gabon Ebony and Damascus inlay.
