Your "Go-to" coffee
Ok you home roasters. You've been roasting for a bit. You scour the net for green coffee for hours....(LOL) You point and click. They ship. You roast. You like.
Which coffees have emerged for you as your go to coffee....ol' faithful? No fuss, no fancy, schmancy, Nancy coffee. Just straight up good stuff. Mine: Colombian Excelso - consistent, deep flavor, EZ roasting bliss. With a Siglo I = perfect. Yours?

My goto is Terrazu from Hacienda LaMinita plantation.
Early morning sitting on the porch with a '64 PAM.

Re: Your "Go-to" coffee
I'm still sampling and getting to know the differences between regions, so I can't nail down a "go-to" yet. On the other hand, I seem to be roasting a lot of Rwanda Butare Bourbon lately.

Re: Your "Go-to" coffee
I have to agrree...those are damned fine beans. Organic and shade grown beauties!
I tend to favor the Caribbean Cut Throat. Dark roasted, full bodied with a very refined finish. ![]()

I am not a home roaster, I purchase my coffee beans pre-roasted, from the Whole-Foods Gourmet Shop (in person) and the Baltimore Coffee & Tea Co. (online) exclusively. My go to weekend and special occasion coffee is 100% pure Kona. My weekday go to coffees are Papua New Guinea and Guatemala Antiqua.

Re: Your "Go-to" coffee
Harrar. It's cheap, predictable, and satisfying enough to get the job done. Kind of like a Punch Roth.
