I just posted an Event for July 8th in Rockford (check the event section for details). It's a Cuban Dinner with Cigars. The Saffron Bistro has excellent food and the price per person is reasonable ($50) given that the last time my wife and I went there we spent about $100 and that is without cigars and Mohitos!

I plan to be there with my wife and I hope some of you can make it, even on a Tuesday night. I'm sure it will be a great time. Give Dennis a call and make your reservation. Hope to see you there.

Sorry Lady Grey will be mending a new hip, travel will be difficult.

I'm sorry no one was able to make it, but on a Tuesday, I know that would be difficult.

You missed a great time. They closed the restaurant, so we had it all to ourselves. About 70-80 (or more?) people were there and a lot attended with their wives. The evening was great. At first it looked like it would rain on our parade but the rain gods must like cigar smokers so the clouds moved out. We sat outside, drank Mohitos, ate some fantastic Cuban food (the owner is a great chef), enjoyed some fine cigars, good conversation and drank in the evening air. Good times. My wife and I left about 10:00 at it was still going strong. Dennis did a great job organizing this. I'm looking forward to the next event.

I didn't take any pictures, but I think Dennis did. If I can get a few, I'll post them.
