Burning Leaf

I finally went and checked out Burning Leaf cigars. I went to the north one on rt. 59. It is a pretty nice looking shop with a good selection of cigars. The lady running the shop at the time I went in was very friendly. They had some nice (pricey) humidors and pipes. They had some comfortable looking leather couches to smoke in. I didn't spend a lot of time their since I'm not feeling well and didn't feel like getting comfy and then of course I would want to smoke, so I bought some sticks and left. It is definatly a store that I would go back to.

I picked up 1 Nub habano, 1 Illusion, 3 Olivia serie V, 3 LFD ligero, 3 Don Pepin blue labels.

I went with Matt to the South shop on 59. He says that it is the smaller of the two, but it was still a nice shop. While their 'lounge' was 3 nice leather chairs and a table, the selection was fairly hearty. They had many of the current popular brands, and a few vitolas in those. I picked up a few sticks that I have never had before (Oliva MB3, Avo Tubo, and a Cabaiguan. While I'm not the biggest fan of their hutch style humidor cabinets, the smoke was good, and they were very nice about letting Matt and I sit around smoking for several hours. If a cigar is only as memorable as the people you enjoy it with, then the same is probably said towards a shop-and this one will go down in my book as a good place to go.

Glad you had a good time. Hopefully next time I'll have more time but, that's the life of a shift worker.

Yes both are on 59. The one above is the north one and the south one is on the west side of the street just south of caton farm rd. The north one is bigger and has a better selection so your not missing much.

Where is joes exactly at? Do they have a good selection?? I live close to joliet and have heard of joes a few times

The Burning Leaf at 135th and Rt. 59 has moved to a new larger location with a full-scale smoking lounge about a block north of the previous location. The new address is 13311 S. Rt. 59. There will be an Illusione event there on Sept. 25 with Dion in-house.
