We are thinking about having a cigar roller. However, because of the expense, we need to ensure a good turn out. Anyone out there interested, and if so, would you be willing to pay a nominal registration fee to defray some of the cost of a roller, in exchange for some fresh, handrolled cigars?

Sorry for the late notice again, but we are going to have a fantastic event at the Cedar Box this Saturday, August 23, 2008 from 4-8 P.M. More details will follow, but we are bringing in cigar rollers from Ybor City, Florida (near Tampa). There will be demonstrations of cigar rolling and freshly rolled handmade cigars available for sampling, as well as freshly rolled cigars available for sale. We are still working on the details, but we will also be offering the opportunity to learn cigar rolling. There will also be a number of exciting announcements and information available on The Cigar Summit in Peoria, Illinois in September, along with complementary tickets to Lucas' big event. There are going to be a few surprises as well. Because of the expense of bringing in the cigar rollers, we would like to have a good turnout, and as always, feel free to invite any and all cigar lovers to this special event. This is the first time that this cigar maker will be in the St. Louis area, and this is a great way to discover an up and coming cigar maker that is bringing Cuban craftsmanship to the United States.

We are back to our regular meeting time of 4-8 p.m. this Saturday, August 23, 2008. In honor of the Olympics in China this month, we will have chinese food and drink (including Sake). There will be a cigar tasting and Luke will give us a report on the latest updates for the Peoria cigarfest coming up in a few weeks.

Wanted to let everyone know that in addition to our cigar rolling event, we will be having cigar rolling classes from noon-4 on Saturday and noon to 4 on Sunday August 23 and 24, 2008. Cost is $10 for materials. Let me know if you are interested and I will reserve a spot for you in one of the classes.
