Maduro's and tobacco dye...

One of our heavier posted threads relates to tobacco dying and it coming off on peoples lips and possibly their clothes. Can you tell us what is used in this process? I am a fan of the MX2 on days I like a lighter smoke. Sometimes it is a little too sweet but that's the way it goes.
I also have to say I am a fan of the "criollo" which is a different cigar. What makes this cigar unique as opposed to others? Why is criollo unique?

Re: Maduro's and tobacco dye...

Thanks for your question. Having spent time at our factories and having seen the manufacturing process firsthand, I can assure you that there is NO artificial "dye" process utilized in or on ANY of our cigars.

In fact, if you ever look at multiple boxes of--for example--our Mx2 brand, you will see slight color variations in the wrappers. Trust me, I've received consumer emails asking, "Why aren't the Mx2s I just purchased as dark as the first box I received?"

If we were using any "dye" process, you would see one uniform (pitch black, probably) color. The fermentation process we use on all of our maduro wrappers is a natural one.

So cool I make air conditioned wind, with subtle hints of aged Stranahans Colorado Whiskey and Murphy's Stout.

I am a big fan of the CAO black label from cigar. However, I know serveral people have stated that the 'VR's stain and are (or suspected) to be dyed.

Are the Black 'VR's also covered under that quote? If so, what should the consumer do with sticks that discolor?

With those reports and review of poor flavor I have not purchased any VR.
