Is my Xi2 closing properly?

Hi,
I have a Xi2 that I've owned for a couple months. I've just noticed that the blades don't exactly touch each other when the cutter is closed. In fact when I held the closed cutter up to the light, quite a bit of light shines through between the blades.
Is this typical of Xi2 cutters? How is the cutter "self-sharpening" if they are not touching each other?
I do not see a similar problem in my other two Xikars (Xi and Xi3 STK)

Sounds like you need to send it back to Xikar for a tuneup. Service is free since these things have a limited lifetime warrenty. The service is excellent. I sent mine in during the summer and it was returned good as new in 9 days.

Mr. chen, I used to work in P-K at VBMC. How are things on the Hudson? Merry Xmas, Ben

Yes, please do send the cutter into us. Without looking at the cutter I can't say what is causing the space but I can assure you we'll take care of it.
