it's been over a year since I smoked a CX2 (one of my favourites.
the last time I went to buy some my tobacconist said that CAO's supplier had changed and the new supplier hadn't got their act together and started distribution. the situation hasn't changed and my tobacconist's reserve of all CAOs is down to half a box. letters and phone calls to the distributors hasn't rendered any results the next step would be to contact CAO. one would assume they'd be furious that their cigars aren't making it to any shelves in western australia for no other reason than their distributors aren't moving their lazy asses. who sould be the best person to write to about this?

Re: will CAO be angry?
don't buy enough to make an online order worth the shipping to australia and if I did ship that much into the country the import taxes would be rediculously high and make the purchase price higher than a store price anyway.
so getting the lazy supplier to move products and make money is the best course of action. how can I as a customer bring this issue to CAO's attention in order to put pressure on the supplier?

Re: will CAO be angry?
I would just give up on CAO. I realy enjoy some of thier smokes but with all of the problems I have had with wrappers and plug problems I just moved on to another brand. Plenty to choose from. Just My opinon.

Re: will CAO be angry?
The Cx2 is no longer available to retailers. It has been taken out of the catalog and is now a Cigars International exclusive. Wasn't a big mover for me, so I am not too upset, but, if CAO is the next Ghurka, they will be cleared out of my shop!

Re: will CAO be angry?
all I'm trying to do is get CAO cigars back on perth shelves where I can get a hold of them.
like I said before the supplier is not responding to constant letters and phone calls so I thought applying pressure from above in addition to our current action might actually yeild some results. am I wasting my time here or is there a way to get in touch with the right people to make this happen?

Re: will CAO be angry?
I would hazzard to say being on a cigar forum is never a waste of time - that what I tell the g/f.
Anyway the subforum that you have had your post moved to has been frequented in the past by CAO personel - as such it should be your direct link to the CAO co. However when CAO will read your post and will they respond in a matter suitable to you I can't guess. However the kind brothers above me are trying to offer "work arounds" to help your current situation. You can't fault them for trying to help you. The solutions might not work for you but they are trying. Personally I am going to look for the "screen name" that CAO is using and you can also PM them with your concerns. I believe they are using CAO Cigars and it is being staffed by Jon Huber the Director of Lifestyle Marketing for CAO International, Inc. - shoot him a PM maybe he can help you out. Perhaps he would prefer not to answer your post in public...

Re: will CAO be angry?
thanks a bunch.
I'm not faulting the guys above. I'm just a bit frustrated with the situation and there aren't any practical work arounds that I've come across and I have done alot of looking and lateral thinking on this one. thanks again

Re: will CAO be angry?
Like a previous poster mentioned, it has become a CI exclusive, so from the looks of it, your going to have to order from CI.

Re: will CAO be angry?
I'm not sure where the CI exclusive came from but that is untrue. it is now with Famous Smoke.com.
Armod, Shoot me a PM and give me your shops info, I will get the info to the correct people in Nashville and see if we can get the problem fixed for you. Blue havana, relax, we are NOT becoming the next Gurka!! If we do, you can clear the cigars and I'm looking for a new job!!!

Re: will CAO be angry?
Are they discontinued after the current shelves of Cx2 are empty? There are still a few online places that sell them, so Cx2 fans may still be in luck.
