illusione production update

As of now, I'm tapped for product. About 3 weeks ago, about 80 (out of 2400 ) boxes showed up and the blends were off subequently, I refused the rest of the production. The problem lied within the Viso seleciton - WRONG LOT within the particular farm! The issue has been solved, the blends are freakin' awsome and product should start landing in the US in the latter part of October. Be on the lookout for illusione's first apperance in Cigar Aficionado with the F9 rating at 90 points! illusione cigars will also be a write up in Robb Report's "Best of the Best" in the November issue.

I just had my first one yesterday, and with all the raving going on about this smoke I must say, I had to have gotten a bad one. This one just tasted horrible to me. It was very bity, wrapper would not stay lit, and it just had extremely harsh flavors to me. I think I need to locate another one of these from a different shop and try it one more time since everyone else is just raving about these.

Thanks for the update Dion - you keep making em, and I'll keep smokin em! I have been very hesitant to spark up the remaining cg:4's and the new box of 68's as I snagged the last one Mark had and they are all sold out on the site. If the new troops will be arriving later this month, it's back to "smoke em if ya got em" time!

Sometimes if a cigar is a bit loose, I'll get those flavors as well. The ligero will burn in more in the middle of the cigar creating an imbalance of flavor. If there is more humidity in the wrapper/binder than in the bulk of the blend this will happen as well. Let me know if this keeps happening and I'll start with randomly shooting rollers in November when I'm in Nicaragua!

Fantastic, post pics if this happens.

I'll be looking to buy a box at the end of October so I
hope Tower will be stocked up.

Dion is the best. I am glad our shop stocked up big time. Even with that we are running out of sizes. They just fly off the shelf. One GREAT cigar!!
