I have another one sitting in the humi that I got sent to me in a bomb. I will try that one a little later down the road
No noobs in our factories, thousands of cigars are made a week and there will be a few that slip by QC. CAO and Torano draw test every cigar before the wrapper is applied.

Smoke the second one that you have and let me know how it goes. If you have more issues with the draw or burn, send me a PM and I'll get the cigars replaced.

Another reason CAO is my favorite cigars.

I can't say anything about that they have good customer service. I think I may have had too many preconceived notions on what to expect. I have a soldier sitting in the humi, but I think I will try another boss before I make my judgment.

thanks for the replies guys!

This is customer service at its best. That is the way to stand behind your product. It is great to have you on the board Bigfoot.

Honestly, of all the cigars out there the CAO seem to be the most reliable when it comes to draw. I hate a tight draw and CAO's across the line have been perfect and incredibly consistent. The sopranos have been hit and miss with me in the flavor department. Sometimes great, sometimes warm air.

Well, hold on a sec on the draw. I have had consistently bad draw with the itty bitty tinned ones... Those seem to be consistently plugged for me. I don't smoke those very often, so it isnt' a big deal. But hey, it's consistent!

This is one cigar I look at every week, but I have never tried. That price tag scares the hell out of me, and I'd hate to pay that much for a stick that is just OK.

I still don't understand how there could possibly be so many stems in there. It was like trying to get a draw through a brick wall. I have some en route so I hope to make my final judgment soon.

Go buy a padron 26, opus x, any cigar...They all have stems, thats is not what makes the cigar draw tight or loose. I can't tell you how many tree trunks that I have pulled from a padron 26, they do not affect the cigar, its how loose or tight the tobacco is rolled.

The only leaf that is de-stemmed is the wrapper.

I'm not blowin smoke up anyone's butt, but I have never (fingers crossed) have any problems with CAO cigars. There are a couple that I didn't care for the flavor profile, but I can always count on them being a solid goto smoke. I have not had the Sopranos yet, but I would bet they are of the same high quality as the rest of their line.

Torano, another story, I luv the Exodus 59, but I seem to have a few burn issues with them. It still hasn't stopped me, I still buy them even with my past issues.

IMHO

I smoked my first soldier a while back and it had a great draw and some very nice flavors. So as for the Soprano Soldier I give it a thumbs up. I'm sure as with all hand rolled smokes you will come across a few with problems. With the many that are rolled I think the % of the draw being bad there are a few.

Question Brian - what is the best RH the Soprano should be kept at?

I keep mine at 65% and they seem to do well at that level.

Yeah- it is a "good" cigar but not a "great" cigar for me.
Because of a tight draw, seemed like it just had too much tobacco rolled in it.
And it IS overpriced. I can buy a whole season of sopranos on DVD for the price of a couple sticks. I rather WATCH the Sopranos than SMOKE the Sopranos....
Just bust'in some balls.
