Huge disappointment so far

Finally had the soprano. Oh man =/. After being in the humidor for like a month I decided to spark it, and I should of stuck with what I know best. The draw was terrible. I couldent get anything out. I later found out I had about 4 stems in the cigar...Construction left something to be desired and the cap was poorly glued on. I have another one sitting in the humi that I got sent to me in a bomb. I will try that one a little later down the road, but I wanted to ask has anyone had problems with these? I mean I paid thirteen dollars for it and it was a complete hit and miss. I usually back CAO to the fullest, but this one really let me down.

I was kind of let down by it as well. It was just another maduro to me. Nothing special about it. (Sorry CAO, different tastes and all that). The price tag of the smoke made it even more of a disappointment. I didn't have burn or draw problems, but taste and complexity just wasn't there.

I've purchased 3 boxes of the Boss over the past three years. For me, the Boss was one of my favorite cigars right from the first one. Never had a burn , wrapper or draw problem. I only light one up when I have 2.5 hours to enjoy this monster. I've had the associate and the soldier but prefer the Boss only. I have about 10 or 12 percolating in the humi right now and will burn them over the next 6-12 months.

Not every cigar is the same for everyone, I'm not a big Padron Anni fan, go figure!

Good luck with the next one.

Sam

A plugged CAO cigar? That never happens! I am kidding of course, and that's the main reason I stopped buying boxes of them.

I've never had a plugged CAO. I mean, I haven't smoked hundreds of them, but definitely in the 20's, and haven't had any one of them plugged. Now, I didn't exactly love every one of them, but the draw was always good.

I actually have smoked tons of CAO and have only had a problem with burn or draw issues on the Back VR. The rest have been perfect for me. I also love the Sopranos cigars.

You must have just got a bad one.

Totally agree. The plug issue and construction problem was probably just a bad stick. As for the flavor profile ... different strokes for different folks. I've only had a couple Sopranos but I've loved them (not too thrilled w/ the price tag, hence only having a couple of them ). But I'll continue to buy them when I want a special smoke. Give the other one a try before crossing them off your list forever. Then you'll know if it's just not your cup of tea.

I am a huge CAO fan, but didn't like the Soprano either. For me, and for the price it was a bust. The Brazilia is my favorite, and that might explain why I didn't like the Soprano; everyone has their own idea of what's a great cigar. I am surprised about the construction though. Every CAO I have had smoked great. It always sucks when you have a bummer cigar experience.

I really have to try another one, I don't want to base my opinion on just one. Maybe the roller was a noob or something. I'll let you guys know when I get my hands on another.

I have had a few of the Soprano's and thought they were okay, but for my money I would rather smoke the MX2 or CX2. I did not have any construction or draw problems with mine.

I have had 3 Sopranos smokes and no burn or draw problems, but I too was a little disappointed. I was hoping for more of a smack down from it, but to me it seemed very mild. The flavor was good but I was expecting more of a kick.
