Illusione Pronunciation?

My gut feeling is that it's pronounced "ill-use-e-o-nay", but I admit that's not how I pronounce it... seems that some people may take that as a bit of pretentiousness...

With the last name Giolito..I would say the Italian pronunciation would be with the "nay". The "e" on the end is the give away.

See and that is what I always thought it was but I heard doc stogie fresh prunounce it the "Italian" way and I want to know now and not look like a dumbass...wait who am I kidding I will still look like a dumbass but at least I want to be one who pronounces things correctly.

Go with the "-nay"! That's the Itialian pronounciation!!!

Hey lil Bro..I'm like'n CEEDEE's post (#6) and TOASTED's above this...my theory, pronounce it the way you prefer...those with the nose up or say 'look dumb', well, you can pronounce it w/the Italian slant, or use a favoite of mine w/the Oriental slant...Yuk Foo...I'm bet'n they'll be understanding what your are saying without question.

BTW Dale & Dion...that was a fantastic interview! Dion's passion and integrity were very obvious. There are plenty of manufacturers/brand owners with one of those character traits, but few with both. The one's who do, REALLY stand out, and their product shows it.

Thanks Joe, very kind of you. All the credit goes to Dion. We just kind of got him started talking! Great guy, and I'm very anxious to meet him in person in about 4 more weeks.

BTW, I asked Barlow's to order in some Illusione #1, and they did. I'll be trying out that bad boy "A" size cigar this weekend, and I put a couple back for long term aging as well. Dion told us that was his signature stick, so I have to try it!
